Results That Last a Lifetime
Jamie Barrett was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in Ripley, Mississippi. Her formative years were marked by a strong sense of community and an enduring curiosity about the human psyche. This innate curiosity led her to pursue a career in education following a career in counseling, ultimately becoming a psychotherapist.
Ms. Barrett currently resides in Jackson, Mississippi. She owns Superconscious Soul Solutions.
During her internship, Ms. Barrett enrolled in the Choctaw American Indian Pearl River Reservation program through their social services agency. She worked with Choctaw Indians of all ages who faced mental health issues and physical limitations.
Ms. Barrett has received Advanced Forensic Interview Training from the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC).
Ms. Barrett attended the Play Therapy Training Institute in Hackensack, New Jersey, where she pursued credits to obtain Certification as a Registered Play Therapist - Supervisor. She developed the Play Therapy Progam at the Children’s Advocacy Center in Florida. She provided play therapy services via a contract with the Head Start Agency through a company she created, Play 4 Goodness Sake, Inc.
Ms. Barrett has extensive training and experience working with children and adult victims of sexual and physical abuse, children who were victims of parental neglect, and victims of domestic violence. She served as the Team Coordinator for the Child Protection Team in Florida, where she was instrumental in providing support and care for vulnerable populations.
Ms. Barrett has served as a Clinical Supervisor for a Children’s Advocacy Center, where she supervised counselors, interns, and forensic interviewers.
